Ross and the fund raising team

a successful evening

The evening was a great success

After winning the English Title Ross was asked if he would help raise money for Ellie May, who is an adorable little girl. She unfortunately got meningitis and had to have her arms and legs amputated to stop the disease spreading. She now has to have plastic arms and legs made. Which cost a lot of money.

The evening was a great success. Ross took a boxing glove which him and his father Alan signed.

The glove raised £400 for Ellie May.

Since Ross won the Southern Area Title on the 29th April, he's been quite busy. Two days after the fight he took part in the Lingfield Fun Run to raise money for his charity The Kenya Street Scouts. Just over £200 was raised for him to put towards helping the street children who he planned to visit 4 weeks later. Ross was invited to start the 10 mile run before taking his place for the 6 mile race, which he ran whilst wearing his new well earned belt, displaying it to the cheering onlookers.

The two-week adventure to Kenya was a success with many children able to benefit from the sponsorship raised by the team. However during the trip Ross unfortunately caught a stomach bug which was to haunt him for the next 4 weeks.

On returning home to Britain Ross underwent a number of tests having lost over a stone in weight. Once the tests had come back clear and Ross was able to eat properly again, he started back at Lifeline Personal Fitness Centre with Dave Richardson (Ross' fitness trainer).
